Abstract
The World Health Organization was established in the aftermath of the Second World War as one of the organizations under the auspices of the United Nations. According to its constitution, it was designed to achieve the highest possible level of health for all people. In this paper, the author will present the history and the structure of the WHO, meaning its organs and its competence. Also, the power of the WHO in the previous two years has been thoroughly discussed due to the corona virus and the global pandemic. The transformation of the existing international legal order is inevitable and, therefore, the paper will also discuss the potential for reform when it comes to this organization.
